4.4.6 Perspectives
The workshop in September 2005 offered genuinely new options, as it popularised the issues around PRS and disability, and enabled participants from various different backgrounds to engage in a broad discussion of the subjects. The formalisation of the MKUKUTA Disability Network will ensure the implementation of the decided action points and is a useful platform for information-sharing and monitoring. This network not only consists of DPOs, but also comprises representatives from government and international institutions, who function as advisors and providers of technical support. In the beginning the network decided to concentrate on implementing activities related to education and increasing knowledge about the PRS process among disability organisations. With such a clear priority, the network does not risk observing too many things and thereby losing a clear overview.
